You hold up the parasol, and a leisurely gust of wind whisks you away to safety. |
- The third free runaway per day generates the message:
- You're starting to get kinda queasy from all of this flying.
- The sixth free runaway per day generates the message:
- Okay, seriously, this flying is making you really queasy.
- The ninth free runaway per day generates the message:
- Eurgh. At this point, you're officially airsick.
- After 10 cumulative successes (cumulative across all days), this message is generated:
- Man. That last gust was more than your parasol could handle. You throw away the shredded (but delicious-smelling) wreck that was once a useful tool.
Notes
- Using this item grants a player a shot at a free runaway--an escape from combat without consuming an Adventure.
- On the 10th successful use, cumulative across all days, the item breaks. Until that use, the item is not consumed when used.
- The number of uses is reset upon ascension.

- The runaway counter is shared with that of the navel ring of navel gazing and the Greatest American Pants, and resets daily.
