These candies are simple for the purposes of Sweet Synthesis. The easiest ways to acquire simple candy in hardcore:

• Candyblast (skillbook: A Crimbo Carol, Ch. 3) has a 1/3 chance per cast of creating 1 of SM¹, MM², CHC³, DT³, or WOFM⁴ (max 1 drop/fight)
• Summon Candy Heart (Libram) summons pink⁰, orange¹, lavender², yellow³, green⁴, and/or white⁴ candy hearts

For those without those bottomless candy fountains:

• Gno-Mart (accessible at the Beach while under a Gnome sign) sells jabañero-⁰, tamarind-², lime-and-chile-³, and pickle-⁴ flavored chewing gum
• Clovering South of The Border will yield a pack of chewing gum that contains 1 of each of the flavored chewing gum (above)
• Chubby and Plump (skillbook: The Night Before Crimbo, Ch. 6) summons 1 Chubby and Plump bar²/day
• That's Not a Knife (DB skill) summons 1 candy knife²/day if you have 40-59 mus when casting it (at 60+ mus you will receive soap knife instead)
• Sugar equipment (folded from sugar sheets) breaks into 2-3 sugar shards²
• Summon Hilarious Objects (skillbook: McPhee's Grimoire) can potentially summon explosion-flavored chewing gum¹ (as well as the complex black candy heart⁴)
• If consultation #1 at the VIP Fortune Teller is incompatible, 2/4 of the items are simple candy: heart-shaped candy whetstone², Swedish massage fish³
• 2 of the XO Skeleton's Os will buy pair of candy glasses¹
• LOV Extraterrestrial Chocolate⁰ (from The Tunnel of L.O.V.E.)
• Stocking Mimic (with bag of many confections equipped) can drop Piddles⁰, BitterSweetTarts¹, or Polka Pop²
• Cotton Candy Carnie will drop candy if your HP & MP are at least 90% full, based on its weight: pinch⁰ (<5 lbs), smidgen¹ (5 lbs), skoshe² (10 lbs), plug³ (15 lbs), cone⁴ (20 lbs), pillow⁴ (30 lbs), or bale⁰ (40+ lbs)
• Raver Giant (at Castle TF) drops Angry Farmer candy² @ 20%
• plaque of locusts (at The Arid, Extra-Dry Desert) drops honey-dipped locust¹ @ 20%
• rolling stone (at An Oasis) drops brown sugar cane⁴ @ 20%
• Bubblemint Twins (at Twin Peak) drop that gum you like² @ 25%
• Monsters with the Yuletide modifier can drop candy cane³

Softcore options:

• CoT/Bjorn, containing:
  • Cocoabo (+10 all attr): white chocolate chips³
  • Stocking Mimic (+10 all attr): Tasty Fun Good rice candy⁰, Rock Pops¹, Angry Farmer candy², CHC³, or WOFM⁴
  • Robot Reindeer (+10 all attr): candy cane³ (3 other non-candy drops)
  • Ancient Yuletide Troll / Sweet Nutcracker (regen 2-8 HP & MP): candy cane³ (3 other non-candy drops)
  • Crimbo Elf (+20 wdmg): candy cane³, CHC³, or WOFM⁴
  • Cotton Candy Carnie (+20% init): cotton candy pinch⁰
  • Yule Hound (+20% candy): candy cane³
• papier-mâché trophy piñata (requires 277 Rad Libs to assemble) pull contains 50 simple candy
