• Bjornified in the Buddy Bjorn:

  <name> reaches up from the Buddy Bjorn and tugs on your hair like marionette strings, causing your arm to snap up and clock your opponent in the head for 40-50 damage.

• With lucky Tam O'Shanter equipped:

You hear a muffled (but still annoying) yapping from beneath the Tam.

• With miniature gravy-covered maypole equipped:

<Name> scoots around the maypole in his purse, yapping annoyingly the whole way around.

• With wax lips equipped:

With the wax lips clenched between his teeth, <name> produces an annoying growl instead of an annoying yapping.

Mechanics

Increases Monster Level by floor(X/2).

• X = familiar weight.
• This is applied as a stat bonus, rather than a combat bonus. This means that it increases ML even in ML tests such as in Random Lack of an Encounter.

Notes

• This equates to a stat gain of roughly X/6. This is less stat gain than a Blood-Faced Volleyball provides.
• One of the few familiars with an effect outside of combat.

References

• The familiar's characteristics and name are a joke at the expense of Purse Dogs. Or possibly the women who carry them.
• The message about the purse rat pulling on your hair when seated in the Crown of Thrones is mimicking the plot device used in the Disney film Ratatouille, whereby the protagonist, a rat, is inexplicably capable of controlling another character's various appendages by pulling his hair. In the film, though, they use this to cook, not as an attack.
