Notes

References

  • A reference to Casanova. Giacomo Casanova was a famous Italian womanizer in the 18th century.
  • The third line is a pun on the Mexican movie Amores Perros.
  • This familiar is also possibly a reference to the character "Casanunda" from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. Casanunda is a dwarf and the world's second greatest lover, although he claims to try harder.
  • "It's not a foxtrot or a polka" is a reference to the song "Carioca" by Enric Madriguera, featured in several movies including The Kentucky Fried Movie.
  • "It looks pretty weird, but tagngos always bring cash" is a reference to the 1989 film Tango & Cash, starring Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell.
  • The first message is a reference to a Cole Porter song of the same name, albeit gnome-ified.
  • The message about dancing the "cognga" is a reference to the Gloria Estefan song "Conga," which also talks about losing control, and feeling the beat.
  • The special arena message is a reference to the Lazy Lester song I'm a Lover Not a Fighter.
  • The message "baila su cuerpo alegría, Macaregna, winking to show he's being irognic" is a reference to Macarena, a mainstream hit that enjoyed disturbing amounts of popularity in its prime in 1995-1997.
