NPC Stores are run by Non-Player Characters. Some examples are General Store at The General Store and Mr. Shopkeeper at the Mr. Store.

In contrast, The Mall of Loathing and The Flea Market are priced and supplied by other players.

Several items provide discounts at some of the NPC stores:

• Travoltan trousers gives 5% discount on most Meat-priced items
• LARP membership card gives 10% discount on food and drink
• Private Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Jacket gives 50% discount on unlockable gift packages
