NPC Stores are run by Non-Player Characters. Some examples are General Store at The General Store and Mr. Shopkeeper at the Mr. Store.

In contrast, The Mall of Loathing and The Flea Market are priced and supplied by other players.

There are several ways to get discounts at some of the NPC stores:

• Travoltan trousers gives a 5% discount on most Meat-priced items
• Five Finger Discount also gives a 5% discount on most Meat-priced items
• Post-holiday sale coupon gives the next item you purchase a 10% Meat discount when used
• LARP membership card gives 10% discount on food and drink
• Private Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Jacket gives 50% discount on unlockable gift packages
