Arena Messages

  • None - familiar has no weaknesses.

Notes

  • Provides 5 free cooking crafts a day.
The advice from your cookbookbat is really saving time.
  • This applies even during a Zombie Slayer run, even though the familiar is dead and cannot be used otherwise.
  • You cannot use the free crafts without having at least one adventure remaining.
  • The Cookbookbat produces three Legendary Ingredients: Yeast of Boris, Vegetable of Jarlsberg, St. Sneaky Pete's Whey. You get ingredients from the following sources:
    • 1 of each when growing the hatchling
    • 1 random one from every autumn-aton expedition made when you own the familiar
    • 3 random* ones after every 11 combats with the familiar active (seeded by 11 * class + 37 * path + 420 * (day - 1) + 69 * (drop# of the day, 0-indexed))
    • 3 random specific ones from a declared monster after a combat:
  • After combat, the Cookbookbat will declare an ingredient, and a monster in a location that is currently accessible to you. Fighting that monster (even from a fax) with the Cookbookbat active will award 3x of that ingredient.
    • You can complete an assignment with a run or a combat loss against the correct monster.
    • After granting an assignment, the Cookbookbat will need 5 combat wins to charge up for a new assignment.
    • If you have the Cookbookbat active when it finishes charging, unless you are in the suggested location, it will reroll the assignment and grant you a new one.
    • So if you immediately complete an assignment right after starting it, the 4th following fight with the Cookbookbat active will grant a new assignment.
    • Should the combat you get the notification in happen to be with the monster you need, you will still have to fight another one for the ingredients to drop.
  • These ingredients, and their derivatives, can be combined to get untradable food items (and one booze item), but this requires knowing a recipe for the specific item (see the below table for a list of all recipes). You get a random recipe when growing the hatchling, and a random recipe after the first 4-40 (?) combats with the familiar active every day. You can get a later tier recipe without knowing the recipe(s) for its prerequisites. (For example, receiving the baked veggie ricotta casserole recipe before receiving the recipe for roasted vegetable of Jarlsberg.)
  • You cannot craft the recipe if you didn't learn it, trying to do that yields "You think that should work, but it doesn't".
  • The effects from these foods are not wishable.
