You're fighting The Thing in the BasementYou open the trap door and head down the stairs. The basement is empty -- just walls and a floor made of the same nasty goo as everything else.
You turn to head back upstairs, when you hear a moist squelching noise behind you. You turn around to see that the gooey floor has risen up to form a one-armed, one-eyed monstrosity.

A dripping pseudopod flicks out of the pulsating mass and smacks you in the <thigh>.

Notes
- Presumably wearing the drippy khakis reduces the damage from 65% to 60%.
- In concert, the drippy khakis and drippy shield reduce damage to 50% of maximum HP. This makes strategies involving actual drippy damage straightforward.
- Can be beaten easily as a Seal Clubber dual wielding drippy truncheon and drippy stake, using Cavalcade of Fury.
- Alternative strategies include maximizing your Passive Damage and funkslinging a healer (e.g. New Age healing crystal) to fully heal and a damage-dealing item (e.g. paint bomb). Familiars like the Warbear Drone or Imitation Crab are most useful. With funkslinging, you can attack on the first round. Without funkslinging your first round wants to be the paint bomb, and heal from then on.
