writing desk

"With the Reanimated Reanimator you can wink at the first one, Rain Man a second one, and then wait for the 3 wandering copies."

I feel like I'm missing something here, or this is just poorly worded. Does it just mean you should get two desks via Rain Main and wink at one of them? Because the "second one" specifically mentions Rain Man and the "first one" doesn't, it sounds like Rain Man isn't involved in the first encounter. --timrem (talk) 14:59, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

I think it means after you encounter the first one, in the zone, you can wink at it right then. And since you've now encountered it, you can Rain Man it too. I think the author is assuming (1) you haven't het done a Heavy Rains run and/or (2) you don't have a Manuel.--Hastifer (talk) 12:53, 29 August 2014 (UTC)

Lightning

  • There's some advice on Lightning Skills that I simply do not understand.
    • Sheet Lightning (10 bolts): +100% Spell Damage and damages attacking opponents for 100 turns. A situational skill for when you need a lot of spell damage, depending on your Ball Lightning uses.
      • What does Ball Lightning use have to do with Sheet Lightning?
    • Lightning Rod (20 bolts): Gives you a lightning rod until rollover. While it gives very large bonuses that benefit a spellcaster greatly, it cost equal to Lightning Strike (so you can't use it to get rid of surplus lightning, unlike Sheet Lightning). Its use is situational, depending on what other Spell Damage sources you have available.
      • What is meant by "surplus lightning" and why do I want to get rid of it? This was written before Thor's Pliers existed so I can only gape at the concept of a lightning surplus.

  • As someone who has yet to get any of those three skills, my guess is that surplus lightning just refers to however many bolts are left over after using as many Ball Lightning YR's and Lightning Strikes in a day. Without pliers, the remaining 10 bolts after 2 YR's and 4 Strikes might as well have gone to Sheet Lightning. Players with pliers can now afford to get some more convenience out of their other lightning skills, though.--AstronautGuy (talk) 01:28, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
