Interview With You
After speaking with each of the four representatives following your nomination, the last one will have the following appended to his or her normal text:
- Seeing that you've spoken to all four representatives, the election official calls the meeting back to order. "Voting will now commence on the matter of <name>'s application to the office of Prince of Seaside Town," he says, and hands two small cloth bags to an assistant, who takes them around the room to the four representatives. "These bags contain white stones, and black stones," the official continues. "Representatives will take a single stone from each bag, and then place one of their two stones secretly into the ceremonial urn. A white stone will indicate a vote of 'yea', and a black stone will indicate 'nay'."
- He picks up an ancient stone urn, which appears to be some sort of funereal vessel. If you knew more about the lore of the Caramello, you might be able to make a guess at whose it was, but such things never held much interest for you. He carries the vessel to each of the four representatives, and each of them places a stone into it, their hands carefully concealing the stone's color. After the fourth stone has been deposited, the official returns to the dais. "<name>, step forward." You do. "I will remind you," he says, "that the vote must be unanimous in order for you to be elected. A single black stone will mean your failure. Furthermore, if you have not managed to acquire at least a tie, you will be judged to have wasted our time on a frivolous and unsupported nomination, and the penalty will be severe. Are you ready?"
