You wander into another room, and... I guess it's the engine room? It certainly has a lot of blinking and glowing stuff in it, and tubes. A giant crystalline science-fiction orb would not look out of place.

There's also an engineer poking at a nest of cables with a pair of pliers. Hopefully, you're the only one who doesn't have any idea what she's doing.
