Mariachi bruiser

From A KoL Wiki
mariachi bruiser You're fighting a mariachi bruiser

This is a pretty beefy mariachi. His silver-studded and embroidered black suit is a couple of sizes too small for him, and his sinister grin shows several missing teeth. You get the feeling that, if this guy actually plays an instrument, it's probably something very percussion-oriented.

Hit Message(s):

He plays a little tune called "Dos Golpes en la Cabeza." Even if you don't speak Spanish, it hurts. Ugh! Ooh! Eek!

He throws his hat down and does a little dance around it. You're pretty sure he stomped on your toes on purpose. Ow! Ooh! Ouch!

He punches you rhythmically in the <shoulder>. Your screams are in perfect syncopated counterpoint. Ugh! Argh! Ouch!

He plays a little tune called "Zapato al Culo." The tune's okay, but the accompanying dance sucks for you. Ugh! Ugh! Ouch! Ouch!

Critical Hit Message:

He pounds on your head with his fists, kicks you in the shins, and headbutts you. You don't realize 'til it's over that he used you to play the opening bars of "La Cucaracha." Ugh! Oof! Ouch!

Miss Message(s):

He shouts, "Ay, yi yi yi!" You tell him to sing and not cry.

He throws his hat down and does a little dance around it. Yay, stereotypes!

He hums a few bars of "Dos Arbolitos" to psyche himself up.

He hums a few bars of "Cielito Lindo" to psyche himself up for the fight.

Fumble Message:

He sings a couple of bars of "La Cucaracha," then translates for you. Wow, you had no idea what that song was about! (FUMBLE!)

Occurs at The Nemesis' Lair.

Notes

  • Fighting four of these in a row will result in fighting Somerset Lopez, Dread Mariachi (The Nemesis' Lair) on the next adventure at The Hacienda. It's a four-time adventure, so-to-speak.
  • The four fights is inclusive of run-aways. i.e. Escaping the first battle and defeating the other three will still result in fighting Lopez next.
