References
- The crossbow being "light as a loafer" is a play on the phrase "light in the loafers", used to imply that a man is gay. Since gay men are also associated with rainbows, this makes sense. This same joke was used with dwarf bread and clingfilm slippers.
- The use of the word "fabulous" has come to be associated with camp behavior and affectations of (some) gay men.
