Talk:Drunkenness
The Drunkenness Level table is incorrect for players without a Liver of Steel. --Gymnosophist 18:43, 12 Aug 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
The rumor that drunkenness has an effect on fumble rates was disproven (by Jick) at http://forums.kingdomofloathing.com/viewtopic.php?p=300369#300369
Want to add info about -hic- in chat? --J12601 22:55, 13 October 2006 (CDT)
- Oh, yeah, duh, that was the whole reason I started rewriting this page in the first place. Do you happen to know when the -hic-ing starts? Is it when you get the "You'd better keep an eye" message? --Jonrock 22:59, 13 October 2006 (CDT)
Money Making Game is no longer a thing. Perhaps that should be removed or crossed out or something? --Rick Tyger (talk) 09:10, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
More more? (incomplete)
- These take a turn
- fight a mountain man
- reminisce with your combat lover's locket.
- use a wish
- These don't
- get a free fight from your Cargo Cultist Shorts
- use the shrink ray to fight a witchess piece
- fight the painting in Chateau Mantegna
- Evoke Eldritch Horror and fight a tentacle saved for science --Evilkolbot (talk) 08:21, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
More you can can do ?
More things to add to the can do when drunk:
- Use the ice items to change form
- Use advanced smithing skills?
- Use jewlery making skills?
- In The Lair of the Naughty Sorceress:
- 3 doors quest - The Huge mirror - A Perplexing Door
it may be possible to complete the entire entrance to the tower while drunk, but for various reasons i couldnt check the next day. the same goes for the maze and the tower itself.
- Fight your Nemesis
- If password is known. (ie. all 8 pieces of paper have been collected)
- I've fought at least one of the Nemesis goons while falling down drunk. I wonder if they all can be found in drunken stupor. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 20:19, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Can someone add something about hang-over effects in the section where it is talking about rollover.? I know it plays a part in PVP, and I suspect elsewhere... It is probably worth noting here, if you know where it comes up. --DataVortex 03:58, 11 June 2006 (CDT)
Should we add that it's possible to ascend while falling-down drunk, as long as one has already broken the prism? --Yatsufusa 10:56, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, if true. It didn't used to be true. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 17:59, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- I just ascended while falling-down drunk, so I can confirm it is true now. --Yatsufusa 18:50, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- You beat me to it. I didn't think I was going to finish today, but then I did with 2 adv to spare. And then I ascended drunk myself. Could be useful on St. Sneaky Pete Days. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 22:41, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- I just ascended while falling-down drunk, so I can confirm it is true now. --Yatsufusa 18:50, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Wok of Ages
Last I checked, a chef-in-the-box does not allow you to use the Wok of Ages without consuming Adventures. Since I don't plan on doing any cooking for a few weeks (and don't want to waste a perfectly good chef), I can't easily check this - would anyone else care to verify? --Quietust 22:39, 13 October 2006 (CDT)
- I would guess that you really meant to stick this on a chef-in-the-box page, but I can answer: Having a chef-in-the-box does not allow you to use the wok without spending adventures. Oh how I wish it did. I completed a PM run a couple days ago, and like any myst run I do now, I burned turns at the end crafting all of my meins for the next pile of runs. The chef lets me make my sour sauces sans turns, but the meins themselves eat adventures. --J12601 22:52, 13 October 2006 (CDT)
- I'll rephrase this article to make that more clear. --Jonrock 22:59, 13 October 2006 (CDT)

Once you are above 1000 drunkeness it no longer recognizes your drunk therefore you can train your familiar. You still adventure as falling down drunk however i know because i am currently at 1011 drunkeness and i am training my familiar note i was born under the wallaby you can also go to and use the shore
I was over 1000 drunkness (1011 actually) and unable to train my familiar at the arena. I received this message...
"Susie glares at you.
"You're too drunk to even tell the difference between your familiar and the House Familiar. Come back when you sober up.""
At the shore I received this message...
"You're too drunk to go on vacation. Which makes sense, somehow. Trust me."--Qnick 20:12, 22 February 2008 (CST)
Malrus
- You can use Malrus too, not only Still and Wok, even though it doesn't consume adventures (nor either when you're drunk or when you're not) --Zigota Lt 02:00, 24 February 2007 (CST)
Cap'm Caronch's Map
May I request verification of (and therefore an update for) the use of Cap'm Caronch's Map while falling down drunk?
I did it tonight but I'm a noob in HC, so it's going to take a while before I can test it again. Thanks in advance!--schmy 03:48, 27 January 2008 (CST)
Over 26 Drunkeness
Is crap. I got myself to 30 and adventured and the stupors were just the same. I suspect this is only related to special days, such as Sneaky Petes.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Xmakina (talk • contribs) on 09:36, 30 September 2008
- Uh... that's covered by the existing text? The only mention of 26 Drunkenness on the page specifically refers to drinking green beer on St. Sneaky Pete's Day. --GalenKemensen 10:44, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- I've just rewritten the SSPD material to clarify that you can reach the 26 drunkenness level by using other means (668 scrolls, Yummy Tummy beans and suchlike) as well as the Green beer. --Kay Dekker 14:18, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
spooky putty sheet
you can still fight monsters you have copied with the spooky putty sheet, and you can copy the monster in battle and fight it again after you are falling down drunk--Rockrox 08:35, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Ed the Undying
Ed the Undying also gives you a generic message ("You're too drunk to screw around in here.") without consuming adventures when you attempt to fight him drunk.

I'm playing as a Snake Oiler and managed to screw myself over by getting drunk at 11 drunkenness, because this table hadn't been updated. Thanks a lot! --Listen2Reason (talk) 02:18, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
