That's because it doesn't do anything yet. Jick said there is going to be a sort of currency for the "swamp". This is probably it, or so I suspect. At any rate its use won't become apparent until we open more zones. --Bale 07:41, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Hobo Nickels have a lot of uses, we don't know anything about Fish Scales yet, they could have very minor use as currency, as in there could be just one or two things it could buy. --InvalidUser 17:45, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

If they're gonna be craftable, then maybe we can later on, make an outfit that allows us/familiars to breathe underwater without the huge penalties? I mean, unless you have some sort of familiar weight buff (pet spray, snacks, leash, etc), then your familiar is completely useless underwater, pretty much, as it would be 0 weight o_O. --Jimfromtx 17:50, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Hmm. They seem to be immune to pickpocketing...there's only two reasons for that that I can see. Either 1.) They're gonna have some use later on, crafty or not, or 2.) They were made unpickpocketable so we could get the better stuff, like the gum. Considering you can pickpocket worthless stuff like broken skulls, I'm guessing the former. Adding onto the crafting thing, we know already that Myst classes have Tempuramancy and Deep Saucery in the sea. It seems more than plausible that Muscle classes may be able to craft something out of these. Something like scalemail?--Averno 10:33, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
