Talk:Gatorskin umbrella

From A KoL Wiki

Is it my imagination, or do these break in combat? I seem to have lost mine, but missed seeing any messages about it... --Sir Clement the Meek 17:47, 17 June 2008 (CDT)

Heh, nevermind that: I found the message that removes it: "You duck down a branching tunnel, and your way is blocked by a torrent of effluent (it's like a wave of mutilation, but messier) pouring from an overhead pipe. Fortunately, your gatorskin umbrella allows you to pass beneath the sewagefall without incident. There's not much left of the umbrella, though, and you discard it before moving deeper into the tunnel." --Sir Clement the Meek 17:56, 17 June 2008 (CDT)

Armorcraftiness makes this? What the hell? --Raijinili 22:15, 17 June 2008 (CDT)

I can only assume they did this because Pulverize (for the sewer wads) is a seal clubber skill, and they wanted to have each class's crafting skill represented in the sewers. And they couldn't make it a gatorskin shield because that would take up the offhand slot you need for the binder. And not everyone has torso, so it can't be a gatorskin poncho. Could've used hat, though.... --Greycat 09:23, 20 June 2008 (CDT)

So isn't the hit message a reference to Rihanna's song Umbrella?

"You do X damage with your umbrella. Ella. Ella. Ay, ay, ay, ay. ZAP etc. etc."

Does having this equipped in your offhand work?--Cheese 09:27, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
