In Skid Row, you can unleash your inner wolf to evict the resident pigs. Working out in The Inner Wolf Gym will build up your inner wolf.
The house run takes 3 Adventures, but you may take on as many houses as you can survive. Each fight will get increasingly difficult.
Straw houses will start at 100 HP and go up 50 HP for every overall house defeated.
Wood houses will start at 150 HP and go up 75 HP for every overall house defeated.
Brick houses will start at 200 HP and go up 100 HP for every overall house defeated.
Defeating a straw house evicts one pig, a wood house two pigs, and a brick house three pigs.
Your inner wolf is really doing his part to clean up this town.
+X Pigs Evicted!
Combat here follows a special mechanic: instead of your usual skills and attacks, you have special wolf skills, using one breath each (except Huff):
Huff - regain 1/3 of your maximum lung capacity
You huff, gaining X breath.
Puff - skip this house and move on to the next
You puff dismissively. You're not going to bother with this house.
Blow House Down - deal damage to the house, dependent on offense
You take a deep breath and blow on the house as hard as you can, dealing X damage.
Hot Blow - deal hot-aligned damage
You growl and unleash a torrent of hot breath at the house, dealing X damage.
Cold Blow - deal cold-aligned damage
You blow a blast of blustery air at the house, dealing X damage.
Stinky Blow - deal stench-aligned damage
You simultaneously belch and blow, dealing X disgusting damage.
Spooky Blow - deal spooky-aligned damage
You blow on the house, puckering your lips up to make a spooky "whoooooooooooo" noise, dealing X damage.
"Blow" - deal sleaze-aligned damage
You wink as you exhale like a creepy predator, dealing X damage.
Houses will do the following amount of damage: 25 of your HP% - (Defense - 10 - Number of houses killed) * 5%, floored at 5%. If you have Improved Howling, damage is reduced by 40%. If you would run out of HP, you automatically devour a rabbit to restore you to full HP:
You are exhausted, but eating an entire raw rabbit fixes you right up!
Damage Absorption, Damage Reduction, and Elemental Resistance do not appear to work when fighting houses.
Because damage is based on your HP, HP modifiers also have very little effect.
Equipment that staggers or stuns will not have an effect on the houses.
Teddy Bear familiars (Teddy Bear, Evil Teddy Bear, Teddy Borg, and Origami Towel Crane) are all surprisingly effective here: They lose very little stuffing when blocking attacks, and can help stretch out your adventure considerably.
History
Due to the odd nature of combats, many unintentional things that can help defeat more houses (such as free runaways, free fights, all forms of blocking, stunning, and staggering, things that heal, etc.) have been manually fixed at various points in time following the release of this zone.
