- The familiar is a reference to the xenomorph alien creatures from the Alien science fiction franchise.
- The tiny top hat and cane are a reference to a scene in Spaceballs that parodies Alien, in which a "xenomorph" chestburster performs song and dance in a style similar to that of Michigan J. Frog's in the Merrie Melodies cartoon short One Froggy Evening.
