Combat Messages
- At the beginning of combat, at full steam:
-
dances all up in your opponent's face, steam puffing out of her neck joints. She brings it so effectively that your opponent looks demoralized and totally served.
-
does a high-energy dance routine to psych out your opponent. She ends by somehow doing a human pyramid all by herself (even more impressive given that she's not human), which really demoralizes your opponent.
-
does a quartet of back handsprings to intimidate your opponent, landing with jazz hands and spirit fingers waggling. She looks pretty freaked out.
-
does a sassy little cheer at your opponent, finishing with a four-count of spirited hand-claps that really startle her.
-
does a whole series of handsprings, layouts, and flips, ending in a deep splits. Your opponent looks utterly devastated at being so thoroughly served.
-
shoots a blast of steam out of her finger joints at your opponent. He leaps back to avoid getting scalded, thoroughly intimidated.
-
shouts, "WE'VE GOT MOXIE, YES WE DO! WE'VE GOT MOXIE, HOW 'BOUT YOU?" Your opponent cover his ears, thoroughly intimidated.
-
wags her finger in your opponent's face and tells him to bring it, backing it up with some sassy fingersnaps. He looks unready to bring anything right now.
-
waves her pom-poms in your opponent's face, her hands a blur, the poms moving so fast your opponent can hardly get an attack through.

- At the beginning of combat, at 3/4 steam:
-
dances all up in your opponent's face, steam puffing out of her neck joints. He looks about 3/4th as demoralized as he could possibly be.
-
wags her finger in your opponent's face and tells she to bring it, backing it up with some sassy fingersnaps. She looks pretty dang demoralized.
-
does a handspring, landing right in front of your opponent and causing her to jump back, startled. With a little more steam, though,
could do a whole run of handsprings, and that'd really freak her out.
-
does a sassy little cheer at your opponent. She wants to end it with a four-count of intimidating claps, but can only manage three. Still, it's pretty imposing.
-
waves her pom-poms in your opponent's face, her hands a blur. She can barely see, and can barely think, and can barely fight.
-
does the whole "how funky is your chicken, how loose is your goose" cheer, steam puffing from her hip joints. She asserts that her goose is totally loose, and almost has enough steam to end with a split-kick, but can't quite get there. Still, he looks pretty intimidated.
-
does a high-energy dance routine to psych out your opponent. She only has enough steam to make it 3/4ths of the way through the choreography, but he looks pretty demoralized.
-
shouts, "we've got MOXIE, yes we do! We've got MOXIE, how about YOU?" Your opponent looks pretty darn intimidated.
-
does a trio of back handsprings to intimidate your opponent. It works, but with a little more steam she could probably pull at least one more.
-
pulls out a megaphone and does a war whoop. Your opponent looks pretty darn demoralized by it.
-
shoots a blast of steam out of her finger joints at your opponent. He looks shaken and intimidated, almost but not quite as shaken and intimidated as he could possibly look.

- At the beginning of combat, at 1/2 steam:
-
wags her finger in your opponent's face and tells she to bring it. The intimidation works pretty well, but with more steam she could add some sassy fingersnaps, too.
-
does a sassy little cheer at your opponent. She demoralizes him quite a bit, but with more steam she could probably do better.
-
shoots a blast of steam out of her finger joints at your opponent. It seems to demoralize him a bit, but she doesn't have enough steam to make a lasting impression.
-
dances all up in your opponent's face, steam puffing out of her neck joints. He looks about half as demoralized as he could possibly be.
-
does the whole "how funky is your chicken, how loose is your goose" cheer, steam puffing from her hip joints. She doesn't have enough steam to assert that her goose is totally loose, but your opponent looks pretty intimidated anyway.
-
pulls out a megaphone and does a war whoop. Your opponent looks pretty demoralized by it, but with more steam behind the yell, it'd be even more effective.
-
waves her pom-poms in your opponent's face, making it hard for him to fight effectively. With more steam, she could probably really throw him off.
-
does a couple of back handsprings to intimidate your opponent. It works, but with a little more steam she could probably do a couple more.
-
shouts, "we've got moxie, yes we do! We've got moxie, how about YOU?" Your opponent looks intimidated, but I'll bet with more steam, she could really sell that cheer.

- At the beginning of combat, at 1/4 steam:
-
says, "Gimme an F! Gimme a U! Gimme a C! Gimme a --" her cheer is interrupted by a little puff of steam. Your opponent looks a little confused.
-
shouts at your opponent, "U-G-L-Y! You ain't got no alibi! You're UGLY!" Your opponent looks mildly devastated, as
didn't have the steam to do the "yo' mama" second verse.
-
tells your opponent to bring it on, steam puffing from her shoulder joints as she puffs out her chest. Your opponent looks a little demoralized.
-
tries to devastate your opponent with a show of gymnastics, but can only manage a couple of somersaults. She looks a bit demoralized.
-
tells your opponent that he doesn't have game, a little steam puffing from her pointer finger as she wags it.
-
shadowboxes at your opponent, floating like a butterfly. She's a little intimidating, but needs more steam to sting like a bee.
-
does a devastating cheer at your opponent. With a little more steam, she'd really rough 'em up.
-
tells your opponent to bring it. She's somewhat intimidating, but she'd do better with a little more steam.
-
tries to bring it to your opponent. She manages to bring it pretty well, but with a little more steam it'd be thoroughly broughten.
-
says, "We've got spirit, yes we do! We've got spirit, how about you?" A little steam puffs from her hip joints as she brings it to your opponent.
-
tells your opponent that he doesn't have game, a little steam puffing from her pointer finger as she wags it.

- At the beginning of combat, with no steam:
-
tells your opponent to bring it. She's a little intimidating, but she'd do better with some steam.
-
shouts at your opponent, "U-G-L-Y! You ain't got no--excuse?" She seems completely out of steam.
-
says, "We've got spirit, yes we do! We've got spirit, how about you?" Your opponent says she has plenty, and she seems at a loss for a retort. She probably needs some steam.
-
tries to do a devastating cheer at your opponent, but can only manage a mildly demoralizing mumble.
-
tries to bring it to your opponent, but she lacks the steam to make it properly broughten.
-
tries to devastate your opponent with a show of gymnastics, but can only manage a lackluster somersault. She looks a little demoralized, but not much.
-
says, "Gimme an F! Gimme a U! Gimme a --what was I saying?" Your opponent looks a little confused.
-
tells your opponent that him doesn't have game, but she can only do it halfheartedly.
-
shadowboxes at your opponent, but she can't float like a butterfly or sting like a bee with no steam.
-
tries to deliver a sick burn on your opponent, but can only manage a mildly scathing reproof.
-
tells your opponent to bring it on, but she's muttering rather than shouting. She needs some steam.

- After every 25 turns, until out of steam, when effect level reduces:
-
emits an especially large puff of steam.
- At the end of combat, with full steam:
-
does a back handspring into a full backflip, steam puffing out of her lower back as she lands.
-
does the Electric Slide, shouting encouragement the whole time, steam puffing from her joints.
-
encourages you not to take any jive, and asserts that you are alive, while leaping around like a steam-powered jack-in-the-box. Steam puffs from her joints as she jumps.
-
pulls out a megaphone and does a war whoop, followed by that YIYIYIYIYIYI thing people do. Your opponent looks completely devastated by it.
-
shakes her caboose like a train in an earthquake, steam puffing out of her hip joints.
-
shakes her pom-poms like they're on fire and she's trying to put them out. Steam puffs out of her nose, intensifying the effect.
-
shouts, "Be aggressive! B-E AGGRESSIVE!" and does three cartwheels, steam puffing out each time she lands.
-
shouts, "D! Fence! D! Fence!" and dances around, shadowboxing with her pom-poms. Steam puffs out of her knee joints.
-
shouts, "Ra! Ra! Oh! Ma! Ma! Firecracker Firecracker Oo La La!" and does a front handspring, steam puffing from her knee joints.
-
spins like a whirling dervish, puffing steam from her joints as she cheers you on.
-
twerks like somebody who just discovered "twerk" is an actual word people use, steam puffing out of her lower back.
- At the end of combat, with 3/4 steam:
-
does three cartwheels in a row. She springs back up and a little steam puffs out of her escape valve.
-
jumps up and down and shakes her pom-poms like a set of Polaroid pictures, steam puffing from her shoulder joints.
-
kicks her heels up and dances, shouting encouragement. Steam puffs out of her knee joints as she jumps around.
-
shouts, "D! Fence! D! Fence! Defence hold tight!" and jumps up and down, puffing steam out of her knee joints.
-
shouts, "Let's go, Adventurer, Let's go!" and claps enthusiastically, steam puffing out of her wrist joints.
-
asks how funky your chicken is, and how loose your goose is. She informs you that her goose is totally loose, and shakes her hips, steam puffing out of her leg joints.
-
shakes her caboose, demonstrating that her goose is totally loose. Steam puffs from out of her hip joints.
-
does a series of back handsprings. A little steam puffs out after every landing, but it's nothing to be ashamed of.
-
shouts, "be aggressive! B-E aggressive!" She hops back and forth, a little steam puffing out every time she lands.
-
drops into the splits, steam puffing from her hip joints.
- At the end of combat, with 1/2 steam:
-
tries to do a back handspring, but gets stuck upside-down. Maybe she's running out of steam.
-
dances and says, "D! Fence! D! Fence! D--what was I talking about?" She looks like she's running out of steam.
-
does the robot, but it looks like she's running out of steam. And not just because that's how that dance goes.
-
claps her hands, but it's more of a golf clap than an enthusiastic cheer. She must be low on steam.
-
shakes her caboose and says, "S-T-E-A-M! We've got--uh--what?" She must be running low on steam.
-
shakes her pom-poms, but it looks like she's winding down.
-
wiggles her hips a little and says, "How funky is your marmot? How loose is your--uh--capybara?" She must be almost out of steam.
-
does the Electric Slide, but she struggles like she's trying to go up the slide instead of down it.
-
does a little dance and says, "Adventure! Adventure! A-D-V-E-N-uh...what was I talking about?" She seems to be running out of steam.
-
says, "we've got spirit! Yes we do! We've got s--s--s---s------" It looks like she's losing steam.
- At the end of combat, with 1/4 steam:
-
shakes her pom poms dispiritedly. She seems low on steam.
-
tries to do a cartwheel but only gets half a revolution before she has to stop and rest. She seems like she could use more steam.
-
does the Electric Slide at about one-quarter speed.
-
bounces on her heels, bored. It looks a little like dancing, if you're not too particular. A tiny puff of steam escapes her pursed lips.
-
says, "gimme steam heat! Gimme gimme steam heat! No, seriously, I'm low on steam."
-
says, "Ra! Ra! Sis boom--what was the rest of that?" She seems a little low on steam.
-
hops in place and claps her hands. She seems like she's trying to cheer, but lacks the steam.
-
says, "gimme a K! Gimme an O! Gimme an L! Gimme an H! Gimme an S! What's that spell? No, seriously, what's that spell?" It seems like she could use a little steam.
-
says, "D! Fence! D! Fence! D! Fence!" and then repeats it for over a minute. Apparently she's a little low on steam.
-
asks how funky your chicken is, and how loose your goose is. Her goose doesn't look all that loose--she seems a little low on steam.
-
says, "we've got moxie, yes we do! We've got moxie, how about...uh...." Apparently she's low on steam.
- At the end of combat, with no steam:
-
waves her hands in the air like she just doesn't care. And I don't mean she's, like, a free spirit caught up in the moment; we're talking serious apathy here.
-
tightens the bolts in her knees. It kind of looks like dancing, a little bit.
-
doesn't so much shake her money maker as apathetically twitch her undercarriage.
-
apathetically shakes a single pom-pom.
-
sighs and shakes her hips approximately .2 centimeters to the left and right. It's not much of a dance, but it's something.
-
taps her foot impatiently. It kind of looks like she's dancing, if you're inclined to be charitable.
-
asks you to give her a Y, an A, a W, and an N, and then yawns cavernously.
-
tries to do the Electric Slide, but can barely generate any electricity.
-
does a really half-hearted Running Man. It's more like a Walking Geezer.
-
does the Cabbage Patch, but does it so unenthusiastically that actual cabbage is more exciting.
Notes
- The cheerleader's steam power provides a multiplier that increases the effectiveness of its item-finding and deleveling abilities. Steam power starts at full each day and decreases every 25 combat adventures (50 with familiar equipment) spent with the familiar.
- This familiar is not subject to the 10 lbs. base weight restriction placed on familiars in KOLHS zones.
- Acts at the beginning of a battle approximately (weight × 4.5) percent of the time, capped at 95%.
- Delevels by X/2, where X is the weight of the familiar, increased by steam level (×1.4 at full steam, ×1.3 at 3/4 steam, ×1.2 at 1/2 steam, ×1.1 at 1/4 steam).
- This familiar hatches with a specialized set of default names. Names include: Chariti, Flippy, Gypsy, Madyson.
