Crossbows are usually 2-handed ranged weapons. Crossbow-usage is often endemic among Disco Bandits.
Crossbow-Specific Hit Messages:
Oh no, you shot Marvin in the face! Provided that this monster's name is Marvin. In any case, it did X damage. BONK! KERBLAM! KAPOW!
You aim and fire. You miss, but the bolt ricochets off a nearby wall (or tree, if you're outdoors,) and hits <it> for X damage. SOCKO! BAM! ZOT!
You clip <it>[sic] wing with the crossbow, dealing X damage. Maybe next time you could clip <its> nails, instead. BARF! BOINK! SPLAT!
