Some combat actions in the game can change the current monster encounter into a different one, without leaving the combat. This has the following effects:

  • The new monster is not affected by bonus Monster Level; its stats and damage taken are normal, and it will not have extra abilities from exceeding certain thresholds of +ML.
  • The new monster shares the 30-round limit for combat with the previous monster(s).
  • Once-per-combat actions are usable once again.
  • Monster Modifiers, if any, are rerolled.

Most of these actions cannot be used against special monsters, with some exceptions.

  • Equal chance of each outcome.
  • Not usable on monsters in The Sea.

  • Only when used on tomb rat, deals damage otherwise.

Macrometeorite Combat Skill Other monster in the location, or tumbleweed
  • 10 uses per day
  • The new monster is chosen using the possible encounters in the zone, and cannot be the current monster. Becomes a tumbleweed if this is not possible (non-adventure.php combat, or no other monsters in the zone).
  • Scaling monsters will have 0 HP and be instantly defeated.

  • Usable multiple times per day, with a chance of losing the wand with each use that day.
