Monster Changing

Some combat actions in the game can change the current monster encounter into a different one, without leaving the combat. This has the following effects:

  • The new monster is not affected by bonus Monster Level; its stats are normal (if it is not a scaling monster), and it will not have extra abilities from exceeding certain thresholds of +ML.
  • The new monster shares the 30-round limit for combat with the previous monster(s).
  • Once-per-combat actions are usable once again.
  • Monster Modifiers, if any, are rerolled.

Most of these actions cannot be used against special monsters, with some exceptions.

  • Equal chance of each outcome.
  • Not usable on monsters in The Sea.
CHEAT CODE: Replace Enemy Combat Skill Other monster in the location, or tumbleweed
  • Like Macrometeorite, the new monster is chosen using the possible encounters in the zone, and cannot be the current monster. Becomes a tumbleweed if this is not possible (non-adventure.php combat, combat initiated from non-combat Adventure, or no other monsters in the zone).
Baby Bugged Bugbear Familiar frog, salamander, or newt
  • Has a 2% chance of CLEESHing the current opponent on each combat round when the familiar is in use
  • Does not occur when the bugged balaclava is equipped

  • Also gives 1 Adventure when successfully used for the first time in a day.

  • Only when used on tomb rat, deals damage otherwise.
Unleash Nanites Skill little blob of gray goo, largish blob of gray goo, or enormous blob of gray goo
  • Only available with the Nanobrainy effect at 40 turns or more
  • The effect is acquired by using a mysticality combat skill with a fully charged Nanorhino in use
  • The monster fought is dependent on the target's ML

Macrometeorite Combat Skill Other monster in the location, or tumbleweed
  • 10 uses per day
  • The new monster is chosen using the possible encounters in the zone, and cannot be the current monster. Becomes a tumbleweed if this is not possible (non-adventure.php combat, combat initiated from non-combat Adventure, or no other monsters in the zone).
  • If the new monster is a scaling monster only, its stats will be increased by +ML, but still not gain ML-based abilities.
