Leaving the peppermint patch alone for 5 days produces a giant candy cane (2-handed staff, +40% candy drops, opportunity cost of 15 peppermint sprouts).
The cane-mail pants, cane-mail shirt, and giant candy cane all pulverize into candycaine powder (combat item, exponential poison).
