Copying

Copying is a mechanic that was initially added to the game with the Spooky Putty sheet in January 2009. The mechanic allows you to fight a monster and copy it, allowing you to later refight it.

Just about all non-boss monsters in the game can be copied. Currently, you can only use a Spooky Putty sheet, [[4-d camera], or a portable photocopier in order to copy monsters. Copying can be used to easily farm items, or to bypass daily caps on fighting certain monsters.

Non-Copyable Monsters

• The following monsters cannot be copied:
  • black pudding
  • all Bosses
  • all BRICKO monsters, except for the BRICKO ooze and BRICKO bat
  • The Crimbomination
  • El Dia de Los Muertos Borrachos monsters
  • Essences of Interspecies Respect, Soy, and Tofu in the The Electric Lemonade Acid Parade
  • Feast of Boris monsters
  • all monsters in Fernswarthy's Basement
  • giant sandworm
  • guard turtle
  • The Guy Made Of Bees
  • heroes from The Battlefield
  • Infernal Seals
  • The Landscaper
  • the Mimic in the Dungeons of Doom
  • all monsters in The Red Queen's Garden
  • Skelter Butleton, the Butler Skeleton
  • Trophyfish
  • The Wumpus
  • Vanya's Creature from the Map to Vanya's Castle
  • drunken rat king
  • tomb rat king

Unconfirmed

• Confirmation is still needed on whether or not the following monsters are copyable:
  • Ultra Rares

Notes

• The dirty thieving brigand can be copied, but his meat is still collected by the nuns even after the quest is completed. This does, however, allow you to complete the nun's quest and gain access to their services even after the war is over.
• Fighting copied ducks from McMillicancuddy's Farm after the war will count against your daily limit. However, you can continue to fight copied ducks past this limit.
