The Florist Friar can plant plants at various locations around the Kingdom, adding special bonuses to that zone.
Each zone is classified as "outdoor", "indoor", "underground" or "underwater", and there is a different set of plants for each type of zone. Each zone can have three plants at a time, and each plant may be planted once a day. The Friar can only add plants to the last location you adventured at. Some special zones (e.g. the 2022 Crimbo train) flagged as "nofriar" cannot be planted in.
Planting
The Florist can add plants only to the last zone in which you adventured.
Each zone may contain a maximum of 3 plants.
Plants persist across rollover, but are reset upon ascension.
You may plant only 1 of each plant variety per day (across all zones of each terrain type). If a plant variety has already been planted today, its description in the Florist's menu is replaced with:
(out of stock, come back tomorrow!)
You may not add 2 of the same plant variety into a single zone. Plant varieties that already exist in the current zone are labeled in the Florist's menu with:
(there's already one of these!)
The "Watering Schedule" icon in the upper left lists all your current plants in all zones. You can not modify plants from this interface. The Watering Schedule only appears once you've planted something.
If there are 3 plants in the current zone, you may remove a plant by clicking the "Dig Up" icon under it.
You dig up a plant.
If you try to add a territorial plant into a zone that already has a territorial plant, a confirmation popup asks:
Really destroy your existing territorial plants?
If you choose OK, the new territorial plant will replace the existing one, with the message displayed below:
It quickly eats the <plant>
Special cases
If you have not adventured at a location before visiting the Florist, or if your last adventure was not in an adventure.php zone (for example, if you adventured in the Hedge Maze) he will say:
Hello! You should go scout out an appropriate location for me to plant something... at.
The Florist requires the Woods to be unlocked before it is accessible. It used to be accessible without the unlock, and at level 1. This was changed at some point during the Community Service challenge path.
The Florist is accessible when in a Zombie Slayer run, and remains unchanged.
Plants can be planted in any level of The GameInformPowerDailyPro Dungeon, which the Florist calls "[DungeonFAQ - Level X]" (where X is 1, 2 or 3). Each level counts as a different (indoor) zone, but when the dungeon is reset the plants remain.
The Florist is NOT accessible under a Bad Moon run. Even the command "/go florist" will not take you there (though the message indicates you are being taken there.) This persists even after recalling your ancestral memories.
