BIG! is the Summer 2013 special challenge path, introduced on May 15, 2013. This path adds variant rules and restrictions to an ascension run. Its description in The Bureau of Reincarnation reads "You begin the game much larger (level 15,) but all of the monsters are larger too!"
Restrictions
- Free runaways always fail (they become regular runaways that cost a turn).
- You cannot drop the BIG! path immediately (cf. Avatar of Boris):
- When you start out Big you have to stay Big for at least a couple of days.
Divergences
- You start off at level 15, with 200 points in your mainstat, and 150 in each of your offstats.
- Upon reincarnation, you start at It's Kind of a Big Deal. If you are in Hardcore, you will receive big pants. If you are Normal, you will not.
- All the monsters have 150 additional attack, defense and HP.
- ... except for scaling monsters.
- The bonus attack counts for flyering.
- This does not count as +ML for the purposes of calculating your Combat Initiative, monsters that scale non-linearly with +ML, or other special effects achievable with +ML. The monsters in the kingdom simply get additional base stats.
- The council gives you all the quests that don't have prerequisites other than level at once.
- You cannot drop the BIG! path until day X: "When you start out Big you have to stay Big for at least a couple of days."
Rewards
- Players will receive a Thwaitgold Goliath beetle statuette upon defeating the Naughty Sorceress.
