• You can enter this area while overdrunk.
• The adventures you receive in the temple depend on what you're wearing, and whether you completed the scholar path or the gladiator path:
  • If you show up wearing at least 6 of the 7 pieces of the Clothing of Loathing, you will go to An Unguarded Door (1) which leads to Dad Sea Monkee. You do not have to complete either of the Deepcity paths for this.
    • If your 6th piece is equipped by the Disembodied Hand, you are not allowed in the temple.
  • If you completed the scholar path and are wearing the Mer-kin Scholar's Vestments, you will go to They've Got Fun and Games which leads to Yog-Urt.
  • Otherwise, if you completed the gladiator path and are wearing the Mer-kin Gladiatorial Gear, you will go to In The Temple of Violence, Shine Like Thunder which leads to Shub-Jigguwatt.
• After defeating the God/Goddess/Dad Sea Monkee there is nothing to do in this zone:

The temple is empty.

• Trying to enter after becoming the High Priest but without wearing the Scholar's Vestments:

Even as High Priest of the Mer-kin, they're not gonna let you in dressed like this.

• Trying to enter after becoming the Champion but without wearing the Gladitorial Gear:

Even as the Champion of the Mer-kin Colosseum, they're not gonna let you in dressed like this.

• Trying to enter before completing either path and not wearing 6+ pieces of the Clothing of Loathing:

The guards at the temple cross their spears in front of the door. Looks like you've gotta be somebody special to get in there.

At least they didn't stab you.
