From A KoL Wiki

Booze varieties

Here are the drinks I've observed so far:

--GoldS 04:45, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Here are mine:

Also, I got a message about noticing a fly in the drink a few times- not sure if that's specific to this item. Nadando 04:50, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Adding more:

Drat! Didn't get to see whether a random beer would take care of my Salty Mouth.

--Weregoose 05:11, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

I Got this:

I also got the Mae in the west with a fly in it but the Schrodingers Thermos is not consumed

This booze loves me XD. This is what I got so far:

--Talq 20:27, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Got the Ralph XI Cognac (no joke), followed by a salty slug.--Foggy 05:25, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

I then got a perpendicular hula, followed by a Ferita Del Petto Zinfandel. Holy smokes!--Foggy 05:28, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Am I assuming correctly that TPS drinks don't show up? --JRSiebz (|§|) 05:29, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

  • Haven't seen any yet, but hey, if the Otorian Battle Scar shows up... I've been keeping a list of everything seen from various sources over here. --TechSmurf 05:40, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Add a pink pony and eggnog. Interestingly, if you've had to much to drink, you can keep trying to drink a thermos and you'll get the image of the drink it tried. (I got a beer can and champagne flute, which I don't think are unique).--Foggy 05:47, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Using that trick, I just the use text for N.O. Beer, so that's a possible result.--Foggy 05:53, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

canteen of wine and Corpse Island Iced Tea will both show up. I did also get the image for Schrodinger's thermos...which makes me wonder what happens there.--Foggy 05:55, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

missing wine just turned up. (I'm only going to report images that uniquely identify a given drink.)--Foggy 06:03, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

More: boilermaker, decanter of fine Scotch, slimy fermented bile bladder, and bottle of single-barrel whiskey--Foggy 06:09, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Add stone cup of primitive beer, White-label gin, and yes, Otorian battle scar. (Again, all of these have unique drink images). I also got the icestein.gif image, which belongs to Typical Tavern swill and the ice stein. Not sure which was used.--Foggy 06:19, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

More: cream stout, corpsetini, mandarina colada with a fly in it, perpindicular hular with a fly in it, tangarita with a fly in it, Rockin' wagon with a fly in it, either elven cellocello or herringcello. Nadando 06:31, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Got a neuromancer. --Ricket 06:50, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Got the Maiali Sifilitici Pinot Noir --Duzell 07:02, 14 April 2010 (UTC

Red-headed corpse and White hyborian. --Wyscor 11:27, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

I just got the most expenive bottle of gin I've ever consumed (Yes, base booze bottle of gin)--Dessalvara 13:48, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

I've only had one drink and it was a grog. Natenife 16:01, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

What I got was Pete's Sake, a Redheaded corpses, and a bottle of Jorge Sinsonte. --Lemon-claw 21:45, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Morlock's Mark Bourbon, expired bottle of peppermint schnapps, gloomy mushroom wine --Hrag 21:56, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

I got a bottle of Ooze-O, boxed champagne, stinky mushroom wine, et cetera. --Dkohler 23:54, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Pan-Dimensional Gargle Blaster get!--The ErosionSeeker 19:16, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

How about Flask of Peppermint Schnapps? --Stannius 23:36, 30 August 2011 (CEST)

How recorded?

Do these show up as the corresponding drinks in your drink history, or is there a 'Shrodinger's Thermos' listing?--AltyMcAltAlt 06:43, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

  • They're added to drink consumption as though the actual drink was drunk. --TechSmurf 06:54, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
  • Schrödinger's thermos was on the consumption leaderboard today with 8 players listed as having consumed 1 each.--Turtlegeuse 03:49, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
  • ...And a little over five months later, the thermos consumption leaderboard is still composed of 8 players listed as having consumed 1 each. Doesn't seem likely that the method of consumption still exists.--VinnyB 04:42, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Level

Does level play any part in what drinks are presented randomly? Such that if a level 1 character drinks one, would they have a chance of bypassing level caps on high grade drinks, or would it only be limited to drinks without a level cap?--Snufstyle420 06:30, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

No. Any level character can encounter any level drinks, but cannot consume them before the required level. Nadando 06:31, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
What are you saying "no" to? I don't understand your response. What's the distinction between encountering and consuming, as far as the thermos is concerned? --VinnyB 06:55, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
"No, a level 1 character would not have a chance of bypassing a drink's level requirement." --BaronVonWurlitzer 09:05, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Is this to say that a low level character can encounter higher level drinks, but gets a text saying they cannot drink it? If so, should said text be included on the main page?--Snufstyle420 22:04, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Tiny Plastic Sword

Can you get it?--Darkmagicpi 13:01, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

it hasn't been reported yet, so I wouldn't get my hopes up. maybe the chances are about as high as getting a TPNS from dollhives, but that seems unlikely. so - no. --Arnthor 14:53, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

There's a link further up the page in a TechSmurf comment where there is more spading info. TPS drinks have not shown up in one extensive test. (If you are too drunk to drink more it just shows the image of the drink you would have gotten, and after hundreds of tries no TPS image.) --Club (#66669) (Talk) 15:49, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

The bounty hunter brandy can indeed be obtained from this: [1] Salculd 09:41, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Does anyone know if Mt. Noob Pale Ale is a possible result?--Nerdanel 14:47, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Yes; I've personally confirmed you can get Mt. Noob Pale Ale--Dkohler 05:47, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Someone submitted this to radiobugbear and Jick said or implied there are no TPS drinks from the thermos as they didn't want to reintroduce tiny plastic swords. --Dkohler 00:03, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

WTF? i just got ooze-o and sewage schnapps.--The ErosionSeeker 22:56, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Nanite-infested eggnog

Just to say that I have definitely gotten this from a thermos. I dunno if this means the other instant consumable drinks are possible as well....--Lord kobel 22:59, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

  • The nanite-infested eggnog can also be obtained as a real (and even tradable) item. --Yatsufusa 23:08, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
  • In that case I've taken it out of the list of unavailable drinks.--Lord kobel 20:02, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Frequencies

I've drunk a few hundred thermoses, and I think I have enough data to say that all potential drinks are not equally likely. I didn't keep count or anything like that, but my consumption list does reveal some things.

I've drunk (from thermos) exactly one of the following (unfortunately, any drinks that I've in the past drunk not from thermos do not appear on this list):

I can't afford any mafia wines normally, so I got them all from the thermos. I've drunk one of three and two of three. That means that I've drunk all of them and they appear to be equally rare. I've gotten four thermoses with Grimacite Bock but I can't say if that's more common than the mafia wines or if that's just RNG.

I have without the thermos drunk a very small number of basic booze since they suck. I think the consumption numbers are enough for conclusions.

vs.

This shows that normal basic booze is more common than still-treated basic booze.

Then is the issue of sea drinks. I've never been into the Sea, so the consumption numbers should be accurate here:

Here the numbers are too small to determine whether, say, salacious drinks are really less common than than their non-salacious counterparts.

I'm pretty sure I never drank my mushroom wines since they were only six per ascension and I didn't feel like drinking them. This means that every mushroom wine on the list should be from a thermos.

Although more data would be good, preliminary evidence hints that the wines made from the more basic mushrooms might be more common. It is unclear if oily mushroom wine would count as basic or not, since it isn't grown like the other mushrooms.

With so many possible results, spading the thermos properly would take a whole lot of time and drunkenness...--Nerdanel 17:57, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

Evil Fruity Girl Drinks

I've now drunk so many thermoses that my list of things I've only drunk one of is getting pretty short. In this light, it's becoming apparent to me that none of the four evil fruity girl drinks are available through the thermos. I already edited it in the page. Is there evidence to the contrary? --Nerdanel 18:52, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

they've said on the radio that stuff that gives "a bit of evil" effects is blacklisted from thermoses and tacos --Hrag 21:18, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

What's going on here? Maybe it's the umlaut on the o that's giving two of the extensions problems. --Wrldwzrd89 01:17, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

  • I wouldn't worry about that. I get that error-message for maybe one in fifteen to twenty wiki-pages. For over two years. So far nothing has exploded. :) --Yatsufusa 02:40, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Odds of missing drink?

What's the chance of getting a drink you're missing, if you are missing N eligible drinks (out of all M possible drinks)? Simply N/M? --Stannius 20:27, 30 August 2011 (CEST)

Bloody Kiwitini

Can you get a Bloody kiwitini from this? --Urutsini (talk) 08:57, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

  • It has been reported to happen in chat. --Club (#66669) (Talk) 17:13, 14 September 2013 (UTC)
