Some opponents in KoL are actually multiple monsters attacking together, and certain messages and effects (such as for Pastamancer and Sauceror spells) will be different.
Some skills do additional damage to group monsters.
- Cannelloni Cannon, Saucestorm and Wave of Sauce hit up to two monsters, doing double damage.
- Stuffed Mortar Shell, Saucegeyser, Disco Inferno and Harpoon! hit up to three monsters, doing double damage against a group of two, and triple damage against a group of three or more.
- Cone of Zydeco and Saucemageddon are capable of hitting up to five individuals in a group.
- If a Zombie Slayer uses Bear Hug to Insta-kill a Group Monster, all of the monsters in the group will join his zombie horde, up to a maximum of 20.
- Firegate and Garbage Nova do high damage and can be used to narrow down group sizes greater than 20.
- Splattersmash can do very high damage to large groups (such as the Zombie Homeowners' Association), as can Fire Rocket.
