Talk:Little Canadia

From A KoL Wiki

Perhaps a note should be added, explaining the details of when Little Canadia was hacked, then locked away until ascension was implemented. Since I was not around back then, I can't really write any details on the incident, but perhaps someone else can? --DeathByPie 00:09, 4 September 2006 (CDT)

  • Little Canadia wasn't really "hacked", but the url of the jewelery store was guessed. For example, .../store.php?whichstore=b is the bugbear bakery, .../store.php?whichstore=z is the armory & leggery, so just by guessing Little Canadia Jewelers (.../store.php?whichstore=j) was found a few months early, until "hidden" from public access. So a few people had pliers and ring settings but could not use them because no one had any of the required "jewels", but boy did it sure cause speculation, of course. --JRSiebz (|§|) 02:48, 4 September 2006 (CDT)

Did this area get extra content at NS13 like the other two did? --Silophant 19:47, 25 June 2007 (CDT)

Little Canadia Update (06/06/13)

Quest

I have spaded the following and will edit when I have more data. The following is step by step instructions to complete the quest:

In Little Canadia, click on Marty's House to unlock Le Dègueulasse Marais. It will have only the Edge of the Swamp area accessible to begin with. Marty wants you to collect:

These can be found in the following way:

The Edge of the Swamp (opening area):

After a while, non-combat Stick a Fork In It appears. You can select either Follow the spooky left path or Follow the probably-dangerous right path.

Following left opens The Dark and Spooky Swamp. Following right opens The Wildlife Sanctuarrrrrgh.

The Dark and Spooky Swamp area:

After a while, non-combat Sophie's Choice appears. You can select either Enter the bog or Approach the stone tower.

Entering the bog opens The Corpse Bog. Approaching the stone tower unlocks The Ruined Wizard Tower.

The Wildlife Sanctuarrrrrgh area:

After a while, non-combat From Bad to Worst appears. You can select either Head into swamp beaver territory or Explore the village.

Heading into swamp beaver territory unlocks Swamp Beaver Territory. Exploring the village unlocks The Weird Swamp Village.

The Corpse Bog area:

Adventuring here for a while leads to a combat adventure with the ghost of Phil Bunion. Upon defeating the ghost of Phil Bunion, it will drop a spectral axe and Phil Bunion's axe. Phil Bunion's axe is a quest item. The Spectral axe is a weapon with the following information:

Type: weapon (1-handed axe) Damage: 15 - 30 Muscle Required: 50 Selling Price: 120 Meat. Enchantment: +15 Cold Damage +30 Damage vs. Ghosts

The Ruined Wizard Tower area:

Adventuring here long enough results in a non-combat adventure, How to Get a Head in Navigating, which gives you a quest item called a shrunken navigator head.

Swamp Beaver Territory area:

A non-combat adventure appears here where you have to navigate to a fight with a conservationist hippy. The directions seem to be randomised either per player or per ascension, but having the shrunken navigator head prior to this non-combat will make the directions you must follow appear in the adventure text. Going the wrong way wastes the adventure. Upon defeating the conservationist hippy, it will drop a branch from the Great Tree and a super-strong air freshener. The branch from the Great Tree is a quest item. The super-strong air freshener is an accessory with the following information:

Type: accessory Mysticality Required: 50 Selling Price: 110 Meat. Enchantment: So-So Stench Resistance (+2) Regenerate 5-10 HP and MP per adventure

The Weird Swamp Village area:

After adventuring for a while, a Swamp skunk will appear. Upon its defeat, amongst other items, a bouquet of swamp roses will drop. These are a quest item.

Return to Marty's House, and select to return the items you've found one by one. When all have been returned, select "That was the last of it". Upon selecting this, you will be given 3 options:

  • Pick the sword
  • Pick the bow
  • Pick the staff

I am spading these as we speak and shall repost when I have finished.

Selecting Pick the sword gives a hand-carved bokken. The hand-carved bokken is a weapon with the following information:

Type: weapon (1-handed sword) Damage: 13 - 26 Muscle Required: 30 Selling Price: 200 Meat. Cannot be traded Enchantment: Muscle +5% Weapon Damage +15 +5% Chance of Critical Hit

Selecting Pick the bow gives a hand-carved bow. The hand-carved bow is a weapon with the following information:

Type: ranged weapon (2-handed bow) Damage: 13 - 26 Moxie Required: 30 Selling Price: 200 Meat. Cannot be traded Enchantment: Moxie +10% Ranged Damage +10 Combat Initiative +20%

Selecting Pick the staff gives a hand-carved staff. The hand-carved staff is a weapon with the following information:

Type: weapon (2-handed staff) Damage: 13 - 26 Muscle Required: 30 Selling Price: 200 Meat. Cannot be traded Enchantment: Mysticality +10% Spell Damage +10 Slight Resistance to All Elements (+1)
