Here's a list of everything in the game that increases the Meat drop rate from monsters. To see various maximum levels of meat drops, see Maximizing Your Meat Drops.

Keep in mind that well-equipped item farmer can usually do better than a PMeat farmer by farming for high-priced items and selling them at the mall.

If you have multiple percentage increases active at the same time, the percentages are added together. For example, if a player has a 20 lb. leprechaun (100%), Polka of Plenty (50%), and Expert Panhandling (10%) active, then Meat drops will be increased by 100+50+10 = 160%. A monster that normally drops about 100 Meat would then drop about 260 Meat.

Each monster has a base meat drop (that we on the wiki have taken to calling Mval). Monsters drop meat in a range of ⌊0.8*Mval⌋^? to ⌈1.2*Mval⌉^?, distributed triangularly. The game first rolls base meat drop from that triangular distribution, and then multiplies by your meat drop multiplier and randomly rounds the result. The Mer-kin hookspear extracts meat as a percentage of Mval only – it doesn't work across the entire range.

When the Meat drop rate is increased using the items listed on this page, the Meat drops from monsters will no longer fall in a continuous range. This is caused by the unbuffed Meat drop being calculated first, followed by the Meat drop bonus being applied. Any decimals are then rounded down to achieve an integer value for the Meat drop. For example, if +160% Meat drops are applied to a monster that normally drops 7-9 Meat, only three Meat drops will be encountered: 18, 20, and 23.

The first table lists known, consistent percentage modifiers. The second table lists a small number of special/unreliable meat-gaining effects. The third table adds meat percentage modifiers that only function in specific circumstances. The last recaps gains from familiars, which are more completely listed at Familiars by type.

Familiars

A number of familiars produce extra Meat during or after combat based on the familiar's weight. A full listing of familiars that increase or produce Meat is maintained in two sections of the familiars article. Meat-gaining familiars fall into several different types:

• Leprechaun-type: A Leprechaun-type familiar augments how much meat a monster drops. A 20-pound Leprechaun increases meat by roughly 100%, with additional pounds giving diminishing returns. Some additional subcategories exist.
  • The Hobo Monkey is a "super leprechaun," acting as if it were a leprechaun of 1.25 times the monkey's effective weight. It can also drop meat during combat.
  • The Robortender, when given the right drink, can act as if it were a leprechaun of 2 times the Robortender's effective weight. It behaves as a normal leprechaun otherwise.
  • A Mad Hatrack or Fancypants Scarecrow with the right hat or pants can act as high as an 8.00 Leprechaun, but with a severe weight cap.
  • The Urchin Urchin functions as a normal Leprechaun both above and underwater.
• Cocoabo-type: The Cocoabo, Stocking Mimic, Feather Boa Constrictor, and Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot all can produce meat during the first 10 rounds of combat. The NPZR has the best formula for meat, but the Stocking Mimic can reach a much higher weight. Each of these familiars has other functions as well.
• Hanukkimbo Dreidl: The Hanukkimbo Dreidl can also produce meat during combat, but using a different formula: 1 to 3 times its weight. This formula has a much lower return than the Cocoabo familiars.
• Fuzzy Dice: The Fuzzy Dice can also produce meat during combat if it rolls a 10. Regardless of weight, it gives 10 meat, and should be viewed as a negligible source of Meat. It is not included in the table below.
• Tam-o-shanters: The lucky Tam O'Shanter/lucky Tam O'Shatner gives a 50% bonus to meat dropped at the end of combat.
  • The amulet coin gives a 50% bonus to meat drops as well as a 10 lb increase to familiar weight, but disappears at the end of the day.
• Fire ant tools: The swarm of fire ants sometimes drops an ant tool that you can equip to any familiar. The ant rake, ant hoe, ant pitchfork, ant pick and ant sickle all increase the amount of Meat a monster drops by 10-15 Meat. These items don't increase the Meat from monsters without a Meat drop at all.

NPZR Nerf: In order to cut down on the exploitation of the NPZR's Meat-producing mechanic, both the NPZR and Cocoabo were adjusted, and no longer produce Meat from round 10 and after. (The Stocking Mimic was introduced well after this nerf.)
